When we first decided to go to Canada to visit my hubby’s relatives, the one thing in my must-see list is obviously Niagara Falls. But our relatives were kind enough to make a day out of it, and we spent some leisurely time in Niagara-on-the-Lake, a town in Southern Ontario where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario (according to Wikipedia).
After a few hours drive, we arrived at Niagara-on-the-Lake. We eagerly got off the car to stretch our legs and take photos at the picturesque town. While we were busy posing, Sidney slyly took a picture of us girls taking a picture of ourselves with a selfie stick.
This is the first time I laid eyes on the USA. That’s Youngstown, New York you can see behind us. Hopefully, we’ll go there next year – I mean to Manhattan or Brooklyn, not to Youngstown.
We got lucky and saw some cherry blossoms. Apparently, they bloom here in Niagara-on-the-Lake too, I always thought I’d only see these if I go to Korea or Japan.
We started walking around the town. Such a pretty, pretty place with so many flowers along the road.
Here we are at Cow’s trying Canada’s Best Ice Cream. There were so many options it took me a while to choose which one to buy. We both loved the ice cream! And I saw something that made me giddy with excitement – Raspberry Cordial, just like in Anne of Green Gables! Someday I would love to go to Prince Edward Island.
