Amidst all the rush to go to church on Sunday mornings, I need to set aside 30 minutes to express my breastmilk and put it in the refrigerator (or give it to Lia, if she’s hungry). That means I need to get up 30 minutes earlier just to find the time. What’s heartbreaking is two Sundays ago, we returned home in the afternoon and I saw the expressed breastmilk in our room – I forgot to put it in the fridge. My milk supply is quite low, so it really hurts to have to throw away about 70 or 80 ml of breastmilk just because of my forgetfulness.
And now, this happened again. I expressed 85 ml of breastmilk last night at 10:30 pm when Lia was already asleep so she could drink it in the morning (I’m too sleepy to get up and reheat it when she wakes up in the middle of the night). At around 7:50 am, when she started fussing, I got up and went to the fridge. I looked and looked and looked, but couldn’t find it anywhere. I started getting worried and went back to our room – and there it was. I forgot to put it in the fridge again.
